2. What Data We Collect

We only collect personal data that you submit through the forms on our website.

Quote requests (Contact page)

  • Your name or the name of a contact person;
  • Company name;
  • Email address;
  • Phone number;
  • Project country and service required;
  • Your enquiry text (project description);
  • Optionally, an attached file (e.g. a drawing or specification).

Job applications (Careers page)

  • Full name, email address and phone number;
  • Position applied for, country of residence, years of experience, English level, availability for work in Sweden and earliest start date;
  • Your CV;
  • Optionally, copies of your welding or other professional certificates.

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies and does not track your browsing behaviour.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data you submit only to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and prepare a technical and commercial proposal;
  • Contact you regarding your project;
  • Assess your job application, contact you about it and, if you agreed to this, consider you for future openings.

We do not use your data for direct marketing and do not share it with third parties other than the data processors listed in Section 5.

4. Legal Basis

We process quote requests to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and preparing quotes (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). By sending the contact form you confirm that you have read this policy.

We process job applications based on your consent, given when you submit the application form (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), and on steps taken at your request before entering into an employment contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

5. Data Processors and International Transfers

We use a third-party service, Resend (Resend, Inc., United States), to deliver form submissions, including attachments, by email. This means your data may technically be processed on servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Such transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.

To protect our forms from spam we use Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., United States) on the Contact and Careers pages. When these pages load, Turnstile processes technical data such as your IP address and browser characteristics to tell humans from bots. It does not use advertising cookies. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of abuse (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Our Contact page also embeds Google Maps maps. Loading them may transmit your IP address to Google LLC in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

We keep quote requests for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any related correspondence, typically no longer than 12 months from the last contact, unless a longer retention period is required by law (e.g. following a signed contract).

We keep job applications for up to 12 months after they are received so that we can consider you for future openings, unless you ask us to delete them earlier. If you are hired, your data becomes part of your employment records.

7. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • Restrict processing of your data;
  • Object to processing;
  • Data portability;
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

You can exercise these rights by contacting us at info@visweld.lt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt) if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully.

8. Cookies

This website does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of its own. Third-party content is limited to the Google Maps embeds on the Contact page, which may set their own cookies in accordance with Google's privacy policy, and the Cloudflare Turnstile spam check on the Contact and Careers pages, which uses only strictly necessary technical data.

9. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.

10. Contact

If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how your data is processed, contact us at info@visweld.lt or +370 616 39002.
